Summer School
A five-day intensive learning programme for Ukrainian publishers organized by EUNIC in Ukraine jointly with Mystetskyi Arsenal Literary Lab.
27 Ukrainian professionals from publishing sector were selected via open call to participate in the Summer School – the second stage of the Booking the Future programme. Participants represented big and small publishing houses and book stores from different Ukrainian cities, namely Kyiv, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Lviv, Chernivtsy, and Ivano-Frankivsk. During five intensive days of studies participants worked with mentors from the UK, Greece, Italy, Germany, Poland, France, and the Czech Republic.
The topics
in the programme included the following:
marketing and distribution
role of literary agents and means to promote authors at the international market
publishing house and author image;
book design as marketing aspect and book gamification
