is a platform for political and expert discussion on the development of state policy in the field of cultural and creative industries (CCI).
This year's Forum is focused on the role of innovation in creative industries' development. It's primary goal is to elaborate policy options that use digital technologies as an integral tool of creative industries' support. It is planned to reflect on the relationship between traditional culture and modern technologies and develop a mechanism for introducing high-tech cultural innovation at national and regional levels.
The first day of the Forum will present the latest tendencies of the Ukrainian state policy in the field of creative industries; Ukraine's position in the international cultural and economic space of creative industries; discussion on the digital competences in creative industries.
The second day of the Forum is practically oriented: it is expected to develop necessary tools for the sustainable development of creative industries in Ukraine, in particular in the areas of design, fashion, book publishing and audiovisual sector.
The Forum is organised by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and implemented with support of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), and funded by the EU Culture Bridges program, implemented by the British Council.
John Howkins (UK) is a creative economy expert, Member of the United Nations Advisory Committee on the Creative Economy, director of Howkins & Associates in London and Shanghai, author of "The Creative Economy: How People Make Money From Ideas" and 'Creative Ecologies', Visiting Professor at City University, London, and the Beijing School of Entrepreneurs, a founding investor in the Shanghai Creative Industries Investment Corporation, the Founder and Director of the Adelphi Charter on Creativity, Innovation and Intellectual Property. In 2014 he was appointed Executive-in-Residence at the Drucker School of Management, Los Angeles.
Vilma Misiukonienė(Lithuania) is a professional with inter–disciplinary technical & legal backgrounds and 20+ years of experience in IT industry and Public Affairs. Co-author of the "IP Guide for SMEs" handbook and EU flagship initiative HDM (Harmonizing Digital Markets of EU & Eastern Partnership countries). She started Women In Tech national initiative and facilitated women empowerment and digital entrepreneurship community building. Vilma currently serves as a consultant on digital transformation and digital policies in GovTech, Artificial intelligence, Crypto-economy & blockchain domains. She works with Ukrainian authorities on Digital Economy and Trust Services.
Christoph Hassenzahl(Germany) is a Rights and Foreign Rights Manager with Suhrkamp Verlag in Berlin, where he is primarily in charge of domestic and international contractual negotiations in translation and audio book rights. He has a Master's Degree from Freie Universität Berlin, where he is a regular guest lecturer for a seminar on copyright issues and global partnerships for literature and the humanities. He was a fellow of Frankfurt Book Fair 2016 and Seoul International Book Fair 2018
Petri Kemppinen(Finland) has been CEO of Nordisk Film & TV Fond since 2013. The Fund provides top financing to feature films, documentaries and TV dramas originating from the five Nordic countries. Petri has MA in Communication from University of Helsinki, a background in culture journalism and publishing before starting his television and film career in the mid-1990s. He has worked nine years at The Finnish Broadcasting Company, YLE and between 2005 and 2013 at The Finnish Film Foundation. He was a member of Eurimages' Board of Management 2006-2013.
