The fifth call within the Culture Bridges programme has been completed on 31 January 2019. It also was the last call for cooperation projects applications. As a result of the competition 14 applications with the total budget over 112 000 EUR were supported in the following categories:
9 applications, grants budget 17758 euro

2 applications, grants budget 64338 euro

We received 466 applications for all categories of grants in total. Applicants represent all regions of Ukraine, except for Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The European partners that took part in the competition are represented by 14 EU countries.

Project: Urban residency "We are never alone"

The aim of the project is to organize an international urban residency with 10 participants and 2 curators to rethink practices of cooperation with local residents in the formation of urban spaces around and within the "Promprylad" factory. The results of this work will be presented at the second Urban Festival "Urban Scan Session" in Ivano-Frankivsk in July.

Project: Meridian Poltava Festival

Meridian Poltava is an International Poetry Festival that is held in June 2018 and unites Sweden and Ukraine to present contemporary European poetry. The festival creates a modern cultural landscape of Poltava and ensures its presence in Ukrainian and international information space.

Project: Production of 3 documentary animation films in support of the bullying counter campaign in Ukraine

A contest for best ideas for documentary animation in support of a counter bullying campaign, launched at Docudays UA in 2019. As a result, the 3 best ideas will be supported and 3 documentary animation films will be produced.

Project: Ukrainian Photo Days

Photography festival - Ukrainian Photo Days Project intends to research photography development. These educational events are designed for professional photographers, but most of them are also geared toward the general public, including organization of exhibitions to initiate discussion of social issues expressed through photography, contests and workshops for photographers.

Project: Opera GAZ

Nova Opera (Ukraine), Yara Arts Group (USA) and choreographer Simon Mayer (Austria) will create Opera GAZ. Synthesizing our diverse cultures, ideas of contemporary music, art and performance, we are inspired by a 1919 Expressionist play about an explosion at a futurist gas factory to create a new "dystopian-ecological" opera.

International Mobility
Unfortunately, we cannot disclose the names of people who have received grants for International mobility. But we can name organisations that have submitted their applications as sending or hosting organisations. In the third mobility projects call such organisations were LLC Tabor, NGO Wiz-Art, NGO Art Dialogue, CF Mystetskyi Arsenal and NGO Children's Centre of Contemporary Art "AGOV". All listed organisations are from Ukraine and invited participants from UK and Poland or sent their employees to Sweden and Poland. Individual applicants from Ukraine wished to travel to Czech Republic and Poland.
