International TV show from Kyiv that proposes to encourage a critical discussion about the future direction of Central Europe.
A discussion platform that connects opinion leaders with personalities from the sphere of culture, philosophy and politics; influential thinkers from the countries of the East European partnership with world known intellectuals.
The word Maidan
has been associated with the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity. However, Maidan is also a more general term referring to an open space for discussion. To create such space is the basic purpose of this project. The 10-part series
will be broadcasted by the media in Ukraine (UA: PERSHYI), the Czech Republic (CT Artzona), Slovakia (tyzden.sk
), Poland (onet.pl
), Belarus (svaboda.org
) and Georgia (radiotavisupleba.ge
). Other countries can be involved during the realisation of the project.
The program originates in the production of the Czech Center Kyiv
in cooperation with partners from the Ukrainian cluster of European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC)
and in co-production with W Press
under the Culture Bridges Programme.
